Lucky number 7

This year we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary in style. And so, accompanied by our faithful sidekick, we packed our bags and set off 5 minutes down the road to spend the night at The Reefs. Aside from the rain, which is most reminiscent of our wedding day, it was great to 'get away' and experience Bermuda from a visitor's perspective.

The happy couple enjoyed each other's company,

while their sidekick...

made a new friend,

said hi to the resident animals,

ate cakes for tea,

and went for a run on the beach.

Lazy winter days

The Winter storms seem to be lashing the USA at the moment and we have been blessed with a few days of sunshine. We love to take Amy for long walks on the beach to see dogs, seaweed & a new discovery - her shadow! I had to show her her twin and she was quite intrigued.

Nearly time for pig-tails Miss curly locks!

Weekend on duty!

Sunday was Dad's day to entertain darling Amy. With inclement weather looming from an Alberta Clipper (Canada's version of a cold front), we were guaranteed a wet and windy day! First up a fashion parade of Amy's new clothes bought from Iana - she loved the ball-balls on her jersey & I am guessing these will last another two outings - she looks adorable in this jersey though.

The aquarium is another great place for an outing & our favourite is the shark tank where the resident Nurse shark sleeps on the sand close to the viewing area (you see its tail in the pic above). The fish come close to the window & sometimes I wonder whether they are taking a closer look at Amy's snacks she munches on! Another favourite is people watching at the viewing window as the other babies/toddlers are also quite interesting, considering some have dreadlocks!

Bubbles are another favourite for Amy & Dad and I think I may have more fun than her as I do all the bubble making. On this occasion Amy took control and loved the big bubble go pop!

A weekend off

I attended the Bermuda Pharmaceutical Association's annual symposium this weekend. It started with a dinner on Saturday night at L'coquille and was followed by a day of Cardiovascular lectures, which incorporated the latest guidelines from Canada and the US. We had some excellent quality speakers as well as a fabulous venue at the Hamilton Princess Hotel. As Treasurer of the Association I spent much of the day writing cheques and handling cash - amazing how many friends materialise when you are in charge of the money! I was also lucky enough to win a night for 2 at one of Bermuda's best hotels- I think we'll wait until the weather warms up before we take advantage of this one.

Meanwhile....... Craig got to experience a day in the life of Mom, and I think he'll admit it is LONG! Not too much to do when it rains all day, except (you guessed it...) the aquarium. I could tell by the 101 photos he took that the two of them had a ball together. I'm sure he'll post some of them out shortly.

We are currently pretty much obsessed with the Super 14. Well, more so the betting on teams rather than the rugby itself. This week we were all beaten by Brad's 6 year old son Connor, but not to worry as I usually pace myself and finish strong, so beware all you fellow competitors out there...
